Neurocognitive impairment in virally suppressed HIV-infected patients (A collaboration between SEARCH, HIV-NAT and University of Hawaii)
Dr. Wadchara Pumpradit: Principal Investigator, Dr. Jintanat Ananworanich: Co-Principal Investigator. This study assesses the prevalence and risk factors of HIV-associated neurocognitive impairment and psychiatric comorbidities in HIV-1 Thai individuals with undetectable viral load in the HAART era. This study will enroll 130 HIV-NAT patients who have had long term virological suppression on NNRTI-based regimen. A substudy of MR Spectroscopy will also be performed on those with neurocognitive impairment and their matched controls. The study will complete in late 2007.
